3 day weekends are always good, but even better when its the yearly Japanese Car Festival in Holland. Last year was fun at Zandvoort, but this time we had to take the trip to the otherside of the country.

Located at the TT Assen track, the paddock had their fair share of carclubs showing their cars.
The track was used for 200 meter sprints and later on the day the dutch Time Attack series.
As seen above, the Pro Import “El Toro” skyline with its 1250+ bhp was there to steel the show on the sprints.

The paddock itself showed various of japanese brands, from the well-known Supra to some lesser known models. Also our Carlimbo was there for people to join and have something to-do during the day. One group even decided to join with their R/C car so they would be the lowest of the day.

And if you can’t fit anymore people in your car, why not stand on your car, right ?

Later that day, it was time for the 3rd round of Time Attack. 2nd time at TT Assen this season.
But the first time the track was really dry and people could get some proper laptimes and drive really fast !.

Going really fast also gives you wrong idea of speed and time you have left to break before the corner, as this CRX above us shows…

New cars also decided to join, This RX-7 hasn’t been seen by us this season. Its looks good, but should really pick up some speed along the way. Since Time Attack is open to any brand, people from non-japanese brands could also race in the 3rd round.

While the time attack cars continued their hunt for the fastest time of the day.
Toon decided to have another look at the cars at the paddock. And found Wuman’s FD2 Type-R. Remember the german Turbo EK we have shot in the past ? Same owner ! How about dedication to the Honda brand!
